Working Together
Cognitive Therapy for Women
I am the Founder and Director of Cognitive Therapy for Women Psychological Services, the first CBT-focused private group practice in New York City dedicated exclusively to women’s mental health. As a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of specialized experience, I currently provide telehealth services to clients in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Florida. I often describe my style as “warm, humor-infused CBT”—a grounded, practical approach that helps clients meet their goals in a way that feels supportive, clear, and effective.
Psychological Evaluations
I conduct the psychological evaluations required for medical pre-approval processes and international adoptions. Reach out directly to me for more information on your particular request.
Financial Psychology Intensives
For many women, our relationship with money is complicated—we’re often inconsistently educated about how to manage and maintain a healthy relationship with money, and left to navigate a mix of confusion, stress, and unspoken rules on our own. Over time, this can result in poor money behaviors, anxiety, shame, self-doubt, and avoidance.
I offer private 3 hour coaching intensives focused on financial psychology—how your beliefs, habits, and emotions activate your relationship with money.
This is not financial planning or investment advice. Instead, we focus on the behavioral and mindset side of money: understanding patterns, shifting unhelpful narratives, and strengthening your ability to make aligned, confident decisions.
This intensive is especially helpful if you’re navigating something specific—like avoiding your numbers, feeling stuck in a spending or saving pattern, facing a big decision, or simply wanting to feel more organized, in control, and less emotionally drained by money. Together, we’ll clarify your goals, uncover what’s been getting in the way, and create an action plan you can build on after the intensive.
FAQs
Who are your clients?
I work exclusively with adult women for cognitive-behavioral therapy and coaching services.
Do you work remotely or in-person?
I provide remote services through a HIPAA-compliant video platform, enabling me to work with psychotherapy clients in New York, Connecticut, and Florida, as well as coaching clients throughout the the United States.
What is your fee?
The fee for my psychotherapy services is $450 per 45-minute session period.
The fee for my 3 hour financial psychology intensive is $1600.
Please reach out for the current fee structure for psychological evaluations for international adoptions and medical pre-approval processes.
Do you take insurance?
For psychotherapy services, I am typically considered an out of network provider by most insurance plans. I provide a complete invoice to each client after a session for the client to submit to her insurer. To determine if you would receive out of network reimbursement for psychotherapy sessions with me, you can contact your insurer and inform them that your psychotherapy services will be rendered by a NY, CT, or PA licensed psychologist (depending where you reside). Please indicate that the CPT code 90791 with a teletherapy modifier of 95 will be used for the initial consultation; and CPT code 90834 with a teletherapy modifier of 95 will be used for ongoing psychotherapy.
Please note: Financial Psychology Intensives are never reimbursable by insurance, as these services are psychoeducational rather than mental health care.
Also, psychological evaluations for international adoption are generally not reimbursable by health insurance because they are classified as administrative or legal requirements rather than a medically necessary treatment. Insurance companies cover services to diagnose or treat a mental health condition, whereas adoption evaluations are conducted to assess suitability for parenting and to meet regulatory standards
How Long Do Clients Work With You?
In Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I usually work with clients for 12-16 sessions on a specific issue until resolution. After that, we can either work on another concern or we can conclude our work together—it's entirely your choice!
I also offer 3 hour financial psychology coaching intensives designed as standalone experiences.
Psychological evaluations for international adoption and medical clearance typically require a 2-3 hour interview and are required to be in-person.
Can I speak with you before I sign up with you?
For all of my services, please contact me initially here. I’ll arrange a time for us to speak briefly so that we can both get a sense of fit.
Do you offer groups?
My most impactful work happens one-on-one, and I do not offer services in a group format to maintain a highly personalized focus.
