Work with Dr. B.

Cognitive Therapy for Women

I am the Founder and Director of Cognitive Therapy for Women Psychological Services, the first CBT-focused private group practice in New York City dedicated exclusively to women’s mental health. As a licensed and experienced psychologist, I currently provide telehealth services to clients in New York, Connecticut, and Florida. I employ a positivistic and evidence-based approach to therapy, assisting clients in achieving their goals efficiently and effectively.

Psychological Evaluations

I conduct the psychological evaluations required for medical pre-approval processes and international adoptions.

Four Session Coaching Intensives

I offer private and individually tailored coaching sessions for women throughout the United States. These sessions are time limited to a maximum of 4 sessions, and combine expert guidance with skill-building strategies, making them perfect for clients who want to address a time-sensitive challenge in a focused way.

Clients typically bring their own specific concerns to coaching, but I also offer these topic-based, 4-session coaching intensives as well:

  • A Healthy Entitlement to Lead: Breaking Through Inhibitions at Work or In Life.

  • Mindset Matters: Navigating the Mental Challenges Unique to Business Ownership

  • Overcoming Financial Shame: Create a Freeing Perspective

I am able to work with coaching clients thoroughout the United States.

FAQs

Who are your clients?

I work exclusively with adult women.

Do you work remotely or in-person?

I provide remote services through a HIPAA-compliant video platform, enabling me to work with psychotherapy clients in New York, Connecticut, and Florida, as well as participants in Four Session Coaching Intensives throughout the the United States.

What is your fee?

The fee for my psychotherapy or coaching services is $450 per 45-minute session.

Do you take insurance?

For psychotherapy services, I am typically considered an out of network provider by most insurance plans. I provide a complete invoice to each client after a session for the client to submit to her insurer. To determine if you would receive out of network reimbursement for psychotherapy sessions with me, you can contact your insurer and inform them that your psychotherapy services will be rendered by a NY or CT licensed psychologist (depending where you reside).  Please indicate that the CPT code 90791 with a teletherapy modifier of 95 will be used for the initial consultation; and CPT code 90834 with a teletherapy modifier of 95 will be used for ongoing psychotherapy.

Please note that Four Session Coaching Intensives are never reimbursable by insurance, as these services are considered coaching and psychoeducational rather than healthcare.

How Long Do Clients Work With You?

In Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I usually work with clients for 12-16 sessions on a specific issue until resolution. After that, we can either work on another concern or we can conclude our work together—it's entirely your choice!

I also offer Four Session Coaching Intensives that are a maximum of four 45 minutes sessions in length, and are designed to provide short-term focused support around a specific challenge.

Can I speak with you before I sign up with you?

For CBT services or coaching, please contact me initially here. I’ll arrange a time for us to speak briefly so that we can both get a sense of fit.

Do you offer groups?

My most impactful work happens one-on-one, and I do not generally offer services in a group format to maintain a personalized focus.
