As women, our lives are not neatly compartmentalized - our work influences our family and personal lives, and vice versa. My primary aim as a therapist, coach, and educator is to help women thrive while navigating the unique complexities of their lives.

I am a seasoned CBT psychologist and the Founder & Director of Cognitive Therapy for Women Psychological Services, the first CBT private group practice in New York City dedicated solely to women’s mental health. I earned my doctorate in counseling psychology from Columbia University in 2001 and have gained rigorous clinical experience in NYC hospital and outpatient settings, with a focus on women’s mental health whenever possible. Prior to and during my graduate studies, I worked as a professional researcher focused on women and work, HIV prevention, and violence prevention.

I bring more than 23 years of private practice experience and 36 years of overall professional experience to my work as a therapist. I spent the past decade growing and leading a successful group practice focused on women’s mental health. I recently moved from group leadership into fully dedicating myself to my individual work as a CBT therapist and coach.

My working style is positivistic, focused, and pragmatic. I believe my clients often experience me as a “straight shooter” who brings clarity, depth of experience, and some much needed humor to the challenges of personal growth and thriving.
