As women, our lives do not exist in tidy, separate spheres—they are layered, interconnected, and constantly in motion. Our professional ambitions, family responsibilities, intimate relationships, and personal well-being are in constant dialogue or conflict. My central aim as a therapist and coach is to help women not simply manage these intersecting demands, but truly thrive within the complexity of their lives.
I am the Founder and Director of Cognitive Therapy for Women Psychological Services , the first private group CBT practice in New York City dedicated exclusively to women’s mental health. I earned my doctorate from Columbia University in 2001 and trained extensively in both hospital and outpatient settings throughout New York City, focusing on women’s mental health whenever possible.
I bring more than 36 years of experience in psychology, including 24 years in private practice, to my work as a therapist and coach. Before and during my graduate studies, I worked as a professional researcher examining women and work, health interventions, and violence prevention—experiences that continue to inform my clinical perspective. Over the past decade, I founded and directed my thriving group practice Cognitive Therapy for Women Psychological Services.
Having recently stepped away from my group leadership role, I now devote myself fully to my individual work as a CBT therapist and coach. I offer highly focused, personalized treatment grounded in decades of clinical expertise with adult women.
My style is positive, focused, and pragmatic. Clients often describe me as a “straight shooter” who brings clarity, perspective, and some much needed humor to the intense work of change. If this approach resonates with you, reach out and learn more!
